Making bean-to-bar chocolate in Puerto Viejo, Limon, Costa Rica

CariBeans is the first bean-to-bar chocolate company in the Caribbean Coast of Costa Rica.  We are one of the only bean-to-bar chocolates made in Costa Rica.  Our chocolates are produced in our chocolate creation lab right on the same farm where the cacao is growing.  Our chocolates are smooth and creamy with a deep dark forestero chocolate punch. 

We lightly roast our hand selected organic cacao beans to ensure a complex fruity taste.  We typically conch our nibs for 24-36 hours which gives our chocolate a mellow and silky flavor which is not sour or overly earthy.  Each micro batch is hand tempered and poured into moulds for setting.  All of our chocolates contain 100% of the original cocoa butter.  We use no substitutes or artificial fats in our chocolates, which makes our chocolate buttery and totally healthy.  You can try our unique flavors in Puerto Viejo at the farmer's market, Ola gift shop, and Dreadnut Cafe, or in Cocles at our Caribeans Chocolate Tasting Lounge  at Om Yoga,  or at La Botanica Organica in Playa Chiquita. 

Caribeans uses only Costa Rican cacao and is one of the only artisan bean-to-bar chocolates in the country.  To experience our chocolates you should come to Costa Rica, but if you can't you can order online!  Visitors to the Puerto Viejo area can look for the Caribeans Flag to find Fair Trade Organic Chocolate and Coffee.
